Plymouth and Wawasee pushed the score to  18-5 the last time they played Wawasee, but  on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Pilgrims/Rockies had just enough and edged out the Warriors  2-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  18-5  back in April.

On the mound, she  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits (and only one walk). That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Patrick wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Haylee Busse, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 Plymouth  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wawasee struck out seven times.
Plymouth's win  ended  a  six-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 11-10. As for Wawasee, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record  this season.
