Meanwhile, East ended up a good deal behind the Potters on Friday and lost 78-62. While losing is never fun, East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Potters are ranked 130th).
Isaiah Mccray put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 32 points. That was a full 51.6% of East's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jared Colon, who scored ten points.
John F. Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for East, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
