There's no place like home for the Wahoo Warriors, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They strolled past Blair with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 51-34. This was payback for Wahoo, who suffered a 37-15 loss the last time these two teams met.
Sidney Smart continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Lausterer, who scored 14 points.
Despite the loss, Blair saw an underclassman step up: Kaitlynn O'Neil scored nine points.
Wahoo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Blair, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wahoo will take on Plattsmouth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Plattsmouth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on January 5th. As for Blair, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln Northwest at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Northwest has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
