On Tuesday, the Ridgeview Mustangs were out to avenge their 53-37 defeat to the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs from their previous meeting last February, but they had no such luck. Ridgeview fell to Mackinaw 58-48. That makes it the first time this season the Mustangs have let down their home crowd.
Ridgeview's loss pushed them down to 19-7. Mackinaw's victory brought them up to 19-6.
Ridgeview will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against Hartsburg-Emden Friday. Ridgeview has the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency. Mackinaw is on the road again Friday and plays against LeRoy. The Chiefs won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
