The Cypress Creek Bears will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Jones Fightin' Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Cypress Creek will be strutting in after a victory while Jones will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, Cypress Creek earned a 47-35 win over Freedom.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Jones, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-40 loss to Horizon on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Jones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 490th, while Horizon is ranked 112th).
Cypress Creek pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Jones, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.
Cypress Creek strolled past Jones in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 53-38. Will Cypress Creek repeat their success, or does Jones have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
