The Barbour County Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss. Their rough 74-53 defeat to Bullock County might stick with them for a while. Barbour County lost against Bullock County in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-51 score last time.
Leading Bullock County to victory were Anthony Simpson and Trevone Palmer. Simpson scored 21 points along with four steals, while Palmer scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Simpson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jaden Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Barbour County's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-14. As for Bullock County, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Barbour County will be playing in front of their home fans against Long at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bullock County, they will head out on the road to face off against LAMP at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
