Santa Teresa recap November 19, 2013
Lincoln moved up to 685 from 719 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Santa Teresa. The Lions climbed the ranks as a result of besting Gunderson 51-14.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Live Oak beat Evergreen Valley 35-26. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Acorns.
Westmont's dynamic duo of Trevor Flint and Dominique Frazier proved to be unstoppable against San Jose, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Flint threw for 178 yards and 2 touchdowns and Frazier had 76 yards receiving. Jordan Figueroa helped Westmont's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 54 yards.
Trevor Bearden was a force in the backfield as Live Oak topped the Cougars.
Bearden was a passing and rushing force as Mike Gemo's team defeated Evergreen Valley.
Greg Le made the biggest impact on defense this week as Leigh beat Silver Creek. He pulled down 1 interception.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Longhorns' Spencer Barnes and Brian Galvan have proven to be a lethal combination. Barnes has thrown for 1,353 yards this season, while Galvan has 33 catches for 482 yards. The Acorns' Bearden leads the league in rushing yards with 2,553.
The Warriors took down the Bulldogs 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Flint caught 1 pass for 30 yards during the win.
