The Corbett Cardinals will face off against the Banks Braves at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last five games Corbett has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Corbett took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over Warrenton.

The team relied heavily on Malaya Cannon-Peterson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Bella Austinson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Corbett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Banks came up short against Scappoose on Wednesday and fell 11-6. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Khloe Long was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.
Banks' defeat dropped their record down to 12-9-1. As for Corbett, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Corbett's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Cardinals have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Banks, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Corbett continue to outrun the ball?
Corbett might still be hurting after the 18-2 loss they got from Banks when the teams last played back in April. Can the Cardinals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
