The Tolman Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Toll Gate 46-6 on the road. The result was nothing new for Tolman, who have now won three contests by 33 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Darren Valentin, who rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Demario Gonzalez made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Tolman's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 3-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points per game. As for Toll Gate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Tolman will be playing at home against Coventry at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Coventry is ranked 21st, while Tolman is ranked 22nd). As for Toll Gate, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. Lincoln is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
