China Spring is 10-0 against Robinson since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The China Spring Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Robinson Rockets at 7:30 p.m.
Last Friday, China Spring was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-36 to La Vega. China Spring has struggled against La Vega recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Even though Robinson has not done well against Salado recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Robinson enjoyed a cozy 67-52 victory over Salado. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Robinson.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Robinson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Oren Woodard, who scored 11 points. Trevor Stephens was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
China Spring's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Robinson, their victory bumped their record up to 10-14.
Everything came up roses for China Spring against Robinson in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 72-32 victory. Does China Spring have another victory up their sleeve, or will Robinson turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
