Paul VI faced Bishop O'Connell in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with  a   3-1  win over the Knights. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
 While Paul VI might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Bishop O'Connell scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 20-25,  25-20.
 Paul VI found their leader in sophomore  Amanda Dadio, who  had 12  digs and two  aces.
 Bishop O'Connell's  loss shouldn't obscure the performances of  Caroline Semko, who  had 15  digs and two  aces, and  Natalie Hobson, who  had three  aces and two  blocks. Hobson is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 12 or more in each of the last 12 games she's  played.
Paul VI's victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Bishop O'Connell, their defeat  ended  an  18-match streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 21-2.
 Looking ahead, Paul VI will face off against St. John's at 6:00  p.m.  on Sunday. Bishop O'Connell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
