The Silsbee Tigers extended their postseason success on Friday against the Gatesville Hornets. They blew past the Hornets 35-10. The victory was just business as usual for Silsbee, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Silsbee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Michael Moshier led the charge by throwing for 402 yards and five touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Ashton Cartwright, who picked up 180 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Silsbee's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Gatesville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Silsbee will take on Bellville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bellville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Gatesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
