Iroquois got themselves on the board against Cheektowaga on Friday, but Cheektowaga never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Chargers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-3 last Thursday.

Nolan Yax was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Yax was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Dundon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.

Iroquois was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cheektowaga only posted a batting average of .130.

Iroquois has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 14.0 runs this season. As for Cheektowaga, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Iroquois will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lake Shore at 5:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Cheektowaga, they will venture away from home to challenge Depew at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
