Volleyball Recap: Meridian's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Meridian lost against Mt. Zion back in April of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hawks fell 2-0 to the Braves. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Alyssa Meisenhelter paced Meridian's offense, picking up eight kills. Meisenhelter got some help from Julia Meisenhelter and her eight assists.

Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Mt. Zion, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Meridian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Warrensburg-Latham on the 13th. As for Mt. Zion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Unity Christian on the 13th.
