Basketball Recap: Spearfish Wins Going Away Against St. Thomas More

Spearfish hadn't done well against St. Thomas More recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went the Spearfish Spartans' way against the St. Thomas More Cavaliers as the Spearfish Spartans made off with a 60-37 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Spearfish's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for St. Thomas More, they moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Spearfish will head out to challenge Rapid City Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Rapid City Central: they have been struggling with ten straight losses at home, while Spearfish has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for St. Thomas More, they will take on Sturgis Brown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
