A feisty cat fight will be fought as J.Z. George Jaguars face off against Sebastopol Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. J.Z. George will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, J.Z. George turned things around against Leake Central on Monday. They came out on top against the Gators by a score of 15-14 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

J.Z. George got a massive performance out of Jaycee Ellett, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave Ellett a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tysalyn Meeks, who scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-4.
J.Z. George kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Sebastopol made sure to put some runs up on the board against Clarkdale on Monday. Everything went Sebastopol's way against Clarkdale as Sebastopol made off with a 15-8 win. Considering the Bobcats have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Savannah Crout made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Sebastopol let Marlee Smith and Cyrish Magculang run wild. Smith scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Magculang scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Smith has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Hanna Boleware also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
J.Z. George's record now sits at 4-7. As for Sebastopol, their record now sits at 11-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. J.Z. George has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sebastopol struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
J.Z. George suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Sebastopol when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can J.Z. George avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
