The Russellville Panthers were the 84-60 winner over the Springfield Yellow Jackets when they last played one another back in December of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. Russellville took a serious blow against Springfield on Monday, falling 68-38.
Springfield found their leader in underclassman Jalen Chapman, who scored 15 points. Elijah Barbee was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Russellville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Springfield, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Russellville will be playing at home against Monroe County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Springfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Greenbrier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenbrier comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
