Jacob Jaklich had a dynamite game, rushing for 74 yards and two scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camdyn Tacha, who gained 92 total yards and a touchdown.
Limon didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Wray to a completion percentage of just 47.8%. The Badgers have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.64 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.64 in their last three games.
Limon's defense didn't let Austin Collins, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Dreison Davis with 2.5. Limon got some further help from Liam Yoder: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Burlington challenged Wiggins on Friday. The Cougars blew past the Tigers 28-0.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Scout Humrich and Jason Saucedo. Humrich rushed for 171 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries while Saucedo rushed for 80 yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, Humrich is now averaging an impressive 100.4 rushing yards per game.
Burlington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as TJ Castillo, Cooper Witzel, Humrich, and Anthony Estrada picked up one apiece.
Limon's record is now 6-1. As for Burlington, their record now sits at an identical 6-1.
Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Tacha and Saucedo. Tacha just won't slow down this season and has averaged 65.9 rushing yards per game. Saucedo has been a dominant force too and has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 160.6 rushing yards per game.
Limon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Burlington in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 12-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
