Hoosier Heritage recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Hoosier Heritage this week, New Palestine beat Muncie Southside 53-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Dragons.
New Palestine took down the Rebels 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Blake Luker threw for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 76 yards during the win.
Jake Laker provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Shelbyville beat East Central. He completed 4 passes for 19 yards and also ran for 252 yards.
Riley Neal threw for 217 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 22-31 with 0 interceptions.
Laker was a force in the backfield as the Golden Bears beat the Trojans.
Jacob Wagner was the best receiver in the league this week as Yorktown defeated Northwestern. Wagner tallied 5 receptions for 85 yards. Riley Miller helped Yorktown's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 67 yards.
On the heels of Neal and Chandler Carroll, the Tigers have had great success on offense. Neal leads the league in passing with 2,378 yards, while Carroll has rushed for 2,356 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Kyle Ralph's team's Tyler Walden, with 1,090 yards on 72 catches.
James Young of the the Dragons is only 69 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 127 carries Young has put up 931 yards this year.
The Marauders are currently in third, while New Palestine is in first.
The Dragons led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on Muncie Southside. Luker ran for 76 yards in the win.
