Spencer and Kendrick are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Spencer Greenwave will head out on the road to take on the Kendrick Cherokees at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spencer will be strutting in after a win while Kendrick will be coming in after a defeat.
Spencer can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 70-37 victory over Cairo. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Spencer has posted since December 15, 2023.
Spencer's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Alexandria Berk, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Nadeya King, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points King has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nadra Rosser, who scored eight points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, Kendrick's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 61-30 loss at the hands of Jordan. Kendrick has struggled against Jordan recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The victory makes it two in a row for Spencer and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for Kendrick, they bumped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Spencer against Kendrick in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 61-12 victory. With Spencer ahead 35-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
