Seaforth hasn't had much luck against Chatham Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hawks will take on the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Chatham Central will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Seaforth extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Hawks put the hurt on Bartlett Yancey with a sharp 23-6 win.
Emma Grace Hill made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Seaforth hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .366. However, it's not like Chatham Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Seaforth suffered a grim 19-1 defeat to Chatham Central in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
