Football Recap: Catholic of Pointe Coupee Piles Up the Points Against Berchmans Academy

Catholic of Pointe Coupee entered their tilt with Berchmans Academy on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Saints, posting a 43-7 win. Considering the Hornets have won three matchups by more than 33 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Catholic of Pointe Coupee to victory were Myka Nippl and Jude Morrison. Nippl rushed for 85 yards and one touchdown, while Morrison threw for 140 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. Morrison also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making two total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Catholic of Pointe Coupee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kooper Burke and Morrison. Morrison got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Catholic of Pointe Coupee's record is now 6-1. As for Berchmans Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
