They came out on top against the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate by a score of  38-30  on Monday. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
  Aspen Larson had an outrageously good game as she  posted 14 points along with seven  steals and six  boards.  Jazmine Davis was another key player,  putting up nine  points and three  steals.
 Despite the loss, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon still got an impressive performance from   Kayla Barrios, who  went 8 of 13 on her way to 17 points and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Rheana Mortera, who  put up four  points and six  steals.
With the  victory, Pinecrest Academy Cadence broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, their loss was  their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Pinecrest Academy Cadence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  matchup,  a  30-17  win against Indian Springs on the 11th. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  49-7  victory against Varsity Opponent on the 11th.
