Baseball Recap: Nichols Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Nichols got themselves on the board against Bishop Timon-St. Jude on Tuesday, but Bishop Timon-St. Jude never followed suit. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Max Zlotnick looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kasey Kohler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Nichols' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. As for Bishop Timon-St. Jude, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Nichols will face off against City Honors at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 2.9, the Centaurs 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Bishop Timon-St. Jude does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
