The Notre Dame Fighting Irish won the last time they faced the Alexander Trojans, and things went their way on Thursday too. Notre Dame managed a 41-36 victory over the Trojans. That's two games straight that Notre Dame has won by exactly five points.
Notre Dame's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sofia Falleti, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nina Bartz, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Notre Dame pushed their record up to 10-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Alexander, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Notre Dame does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alexander will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Akron is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
