The West Washington Senators suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Saturday. Their rough 50-24 loss to Brownstown Central might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Washington has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, West Washington had strong showings from Meredith Deaton, who scored eight points along with four steals, and Shelby Griffitts, who scored ten points.
West Washington has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Brownstown Central, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
West Washington will head out on the road to face off against Borden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Borden presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Washington in Indiana (Borden is ranked 35th, while West Washington is ranked 180th). Brownstown Central will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Southwestern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
