Softball Recap: Olympic Has No Trouble Against Shelton

Olympic never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Shelton Highclimbers. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brenda Morrison was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Morrison was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Evee Abbay was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Beya Richmond, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Olympic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Olympic and bumps their season record up to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 13.5 runs. As for Shelton, their defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympic will host Bainbridge at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Shelton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against River Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
