The Brunswick Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight defeat. They took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Clear Spring. Brunswick has struggled against the Blazers recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Brunswick still got an impressive performance from Andie Welsh, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 23 rebounds. Welsh is crushing the block category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Stefanic, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Clear Spring, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season.
Brunswick will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Middletown is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Clear Spring, they will square off against the Leopards at TBD on Monday.
