It was a good run, but the Woodford County Yellowjackets unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 67-55 to Adair County. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Adair County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Cochran, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Cochran hasn't dropped below 17 points for four straight games. Connor Loy was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with eight assists and two steals.
Woodford County's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Adair County, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodford County will take on the Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bourbon County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 15th). As for Adair County, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bruins at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
