On Monday, Mountain Empire got the win against Warner by a conclusive 3-0.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mountain Empire was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 25-15.
Meanwhile, Ocean View Christian came up short against The Cambridge School on Tuesday, falling 3-0.
While Ocean View Christian ultimately came up short, they really made The Cambridge School work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 28-26, 25-17.
Mountain Empire will need to focus on slowing down Mya Estrada, one of several Ocean View Christian players who made an impact when they last played. She had seven aces and four blocks.
Ocean View Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Mountain Empire, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
