Notre Dame Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Cactus Shadows Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Notre Dame Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 498 points over their last seven matchups.
In what's become a running theme this season, Notre Dame Prep gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 83-17 win over Desert Mountain at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 53-13.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Notre Dame Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Frankel, who scored 22 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Frankel has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Pautz, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Cactus Shadows proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 28) but on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past McClintock 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Cactus Shadows has posted since December 28, 2023.
Notre Dame Prep's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Cactus Shadows, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11.
Notre Dame Prep took their victory against Cactus Shadows in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 71-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Notre Dame Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
