The Dolores Bears are taking a road trip to face off against the Sargent Farmers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with 12 defeats in a row, Dolores turned things around against Center on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 24-7 margin over the Vikings. The Bears' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Wyatt Kiddoo was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. TJ Adie also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Dolores always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .723. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Sargent sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Nucla on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Farmers.
Tytus Atencio made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Sargent: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-5 otherwise.
Atencio wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jaycian Sierra, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Sierra is becoming a predictor of Sargent's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Paul Neal was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Dolores' record now sits at 2-15. As for Sargent, their record is now 7-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Dolores has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Sargent struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
