Basketball Recap: Crooms Academy Triumphs

Crooms Academy won the last time they faced Warner Christian Academy, and Kenai Anderson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Crooms Academy Panthers claimed a resounding 54-22 win over the Warner Christian Academy Eagles thanks in part to Anderson, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points along with eight boards and five steals. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Maxim Micallef, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. That's the most steals he has posted since back in December of 2023.

The victory got Crooms Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Warner Christian Academy, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crooms Academy and Elite Prep Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crooms Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season. Warner Christian Academy will take on Taylor in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
