The Living Water Homeschool Marlins came into Saturday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Columbus Christian by a score of 70-58 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Branson Carr, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Walden, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Living Water Homeschool's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-10. As for Columbus Christian, they dropped their record down to 10-14 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Living Water Homeschool's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Columbus Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
