Mitchell will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Manassas at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Everything went Mitchell's way against Fayette Ware last Friday as they made off with a 28-0 win.
Meanwhile, Manassas had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-40 punch to the gut against Lewisburg on Friday. Manassas were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-26.
Mitchell's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Manassas's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Mitchell can add another positive mark to their record or if Manassas can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Mitchell's step.
