It was another big night for Amiah Hargrove, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was her ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Londynn Pontious, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Webber's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Brownstown/St. Elmo, falling 58-21. Webber was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.
Despite their defeat, Webber saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mariah Anderson, who scored 6 points, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Shayla Brumley, who scored 4 points.
Christopher now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Webber, the last time they won on the road was back last Monday. Having now lost four straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 1-5.
Monday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Christopher have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 41% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Webber, though, as they've only made 33.2% of theirs this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
