Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 52-0 win over the Freedom Life Academy Patriots. Brady Leblanc was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 78 yards and two scores, and also threw for 125 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those 78 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Habetz and Dominique Morrison. Morrison is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Habetz got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool will square off against Northshore V at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Freedom Life Academy, they will take on Mount Olive Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
