Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was T.j. Hawkins, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Damien McWilliams also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Polk County has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Hampton, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.
Polk County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hampton will be playing at home against Bledsoe County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bledsoe County is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
