Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Calusa Prep suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 last Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 99-78 walloping at the hands of True North Classical Academy. While losing is never fun, Calusa Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 435th, while True North Classical Academy is ranked 60th).
Meanwhile, Miami Christian ended up a good deal behind True North Classical Academy on Friday and lost 86-69. Miami Christian has struggled against True North Classical Academy recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Calusa Prep's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-10. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Miami Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Calusa Prep couldn't quite finish off Miami Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2021 and fell 67-64. Can Calusa Prep avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
