The Sheridan Rams lost against the Rocky Mountain Prep SMART Ocelotls back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sheridan took a 56-38 bruising from Rocky Mountain Prep SMART. Sheridan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sheridan's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bobby Garcia, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Zavion Bell, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds.
Sheridan's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Sheridan will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lincoln presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sheridan in Colorado (Lincoln is ranked 22nd, while Sheridan is ranked 124th). As for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, they will be playing at home against DSST: College View at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Allowing an average of 50 points per game, DSST: College View has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match.
