After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Homewood, Minor was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Parker Thundering Herd 9-1. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by eight runs or more this season.
Daniyah Westbrook was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Minor let Latessa Murphy and Rhian Williams run wild. Murphy scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances, while Williams scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Murphy has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.
