The Tidehaven Tigers will take on the Cotulla Cowboys on Saturday. Tidehaven is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Kailea Freeman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kayleigh Nash was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Maleah Galvan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Tidehaven was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Eight must be Cotulla's lucky number: they beat Cole with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Cowboys beat the Cougars by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cowboys.
Cotulla also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Christlyn Munoz gave up just two earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Cotulla let Sareen Ramirez and Eloyandra Zertuche run wild. Ramirez went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple, while Zertuche went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Zertuche has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Erynn Ramirez, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Cotulla pushed their record up to 16-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Tidehaven, their record now sits at 19-13.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tidehaven has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cotulla struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
