The Opp Bobcats fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Daleville Warhawks on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 56-49 to the Warhawks. Opp just can't catch a break and has now endured six defeats in a row.
Despite the loss, Opp saw an underclassman step up: Conner Powers scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Dorian Harris, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Opp's defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Daleville, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
Opp will look to defend their home court on Thursday against McKenzie at 7:00 p.m. McKenzie is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Daleville, they will head out on the road to challenge Dothan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dothan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Daleville in Alabama (Dothan is ranked 35th, while Daleville is ranked 276th).
