The Pendleton Heights Arabians will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Greenfield-Central Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Pendleton Heights sitting on three straight victories and Greenfield-Central on 15.
Last Saturday, Pendleton Heights strolled past Delta with points to spare, taking the game 62-45. That's two games straight that Pendleton Heights has won by exactly 17 points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Greenfield-Central beat Shelbyville 49-44 on Saturday. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Greenfield-Central has scored all season.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Braylon Mullins and Mar Nicholson. Mullins had a great game and scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Meanwhile, Nicholson did his best for the losing side, scoring 11 points.
Pendleton Heights has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Greenfield-Central, they pushed their record up to 15-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home.
Pendleton Heights was dealt a bruising 76-44 defeat at the hands of Greenfield-Central in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pendleton Heights was down 51-25.
