Pima has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The San Carlos Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pima knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully San Carlos likes a good challenge.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Pima on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Alchesay out of the water with a 56-0 final score. The result was nothing new for Pima, who have now won five contests by 41 points or more so far this season.
Among those leading the charge was Hayden Blair, who rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Blair was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Jaxon John also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, San Carlos fell victim to Miami's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were dealt a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Vandals. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, San Carlos couldn't push the score so high this time.
Pima's victory was their 13th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating across those matchups too: they took their wins by an average of 44 points. San Carlos has traveled a rocky road this season, as they've lost seven of their first eight matchups, which leaves them at a 1-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Pima against San Carlos in their previous matchup back in September of 2022 as the team secured a 54-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pima since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
