The Windber Ramblers will head out on the road to face off against Fannett Metal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windber is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Windber barely beat Berlin Brothersvalley the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Ramblers blew past the Mountaineers 13-2 on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Ramblers considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Lucas Rummel, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Logan Serenko also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Windber always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fannett Metal got the win against Shalom Christian Academy on Monday by a conclusive 8-2. The result was nothing new for Fannett Metal, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Jake Coffman was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Fannett Metal is undefeated when Coffman posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Landon Arnold was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.
Windber has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Fannett Metal, their record is now 6-3.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Windber hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .339. However, it's not like Fannett Metal struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Windber suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Fannett Metal when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Ramblers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
