Softball Recap: Livermore Starts Season with Win on the Road

Livermore had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Aragon Dons 16-2.

Livermore let Laine Macosky and Payten Williams run wild. Macosky went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two triples, while Williams went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those four runs gave Macosky a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kerigan Coates, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Livermore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Aragon only posted an OBP of .267.

Coming up, Livermore will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on College Park at 3:30 p.m. on March 4th. As for Aragon, they will head out on the road to square off against Branham at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
