Six-man East (6 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
St. Edward was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Six-man East (6 Man). The Beavers beat Santee 54-27 earlier in the week.
Arcadia and Elba/North Loup-Scotia played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Arcadia eventually emerging with a 37-34 victory. Zach Lueck threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 65 yards in the win.
The Huskies' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Robbie Ritz chipped in 74 yards. Jonathon Brock helped Arcadia's passing attack out by catching four balls for 47 yards.
Steele Sullivan was the best wideout in the league this week as Arcadia defeated the Bluejays. Sullivan racked up five receptions for 64 yards.
Arcadia's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Huskies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lueck has thrown for 312 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Brock has seven catches for 105 yards. Cameron Charles leads the league in rushing with 277 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Elkhorn Valley takes on the Huskies. As it stands, the Falcons are in second, while Arcadia is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Elkhorn Valley takes on the Huskies. Darin Hahne's team has allowed 106 points this season, while Arcadia has given up 117.
The Falcons led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on Walthill.
