Lakeside had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but  on Friday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it seven. They were beaten by the Brunswick Pirates 60-6. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  34-6.
 Even if they lost, Lakeside's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Cameron Ferrer,  Joey Curkovic,  and  John Green, who each picked up one  sack apiece.

That's the most  rushing touchdowns  Gardner has posted since back in August.  Grant Moore was another key player, throwing for 219 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only 18 passes.
 Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  matchup,  a  38-21  win against Bradwell Institute on the 24th. As for Brunswick, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against South Effingham at 7:30  p.m.  on  the 31st.
