Layna Faria was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Sera, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Kalani was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kaimuki only posted a batting average of .077.
Castle never got on the board in their matchup on Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Kaimuki last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 16-8 victory.
Kalani now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Castle, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Kalani was able to grind out a solid win over Castle in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 11-6. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
